Your airport is growing!
Hub Status upgraded!
From a single runway to an international mega-hub
Idle Airport is a free browser-based incremental game where you build an aviation empire from a single runway. Start by managing a small regional airport, then reinvest your passenger revenue into runways, terminals, gates, services, and fleet contracts. Every upgrade compounds your income per second, and your airport evolves visually as you grow -- from a tiny airstrip all the way to a global mega-hub handling cargo, luxury carriers, and VIP flights.
Start by tapping your airport to manually earn revenue from arriving passengers. Spend your earnings across five upgrade categories: build additional runways (up to 5 for larger aircraft and simultaneous landings), expand terminals (domestic to international to VIP lounges), add more gates (increase simultaneous flights), invest in services (fuel depots, baggage handling, duty-free shops, restaurants), and sign fleet contracts (budget airlines to luxury carriers to cargo freight). Watch for random events like VIP arrivals that double your income for 30 seconds, weather delays that slow things down, or celebrity sightings that cause passenger surges. When your lifetime earnings hit the threshold, prestige with an "Airport Expansion" to earn permanent Hub Status multipliers and start building again even faster.
Yes! Your airport earns revenue automatically while you are away, up to 10 hours of offline progress. When you return, you will collect all the income your airport generated.
Upgrade your Terminals category to level 2 (International Terminal) to unlock international flights. This requires expanding your airport with enough gates and runways to handle larger aircraft and higher passenger volumes.
The Airport Expansion prestige resets your upgrades and coins but grants a permanent Hub Status multiplier that boosts all future earnings. Each expansion tier makes your next run significantly faster, letting you reach new heights of aviation glory.
