Decode the number clues to fill cells and reveal hidden pixel art pictures.
Picross, also known as Nonogram or Griddler, is a picture logic puzzle where you use number clues to determine which cells in a grid should be filled in. When solved correctly, the filled cells form a recognizable picture. The name "Picross" is a portmanteau of "picture" and "crossword," popularized by Nintendo's long-running puzzle game series. It combines the satisfaction of logical deduction with the reward of creating pixel art.
Each row and column has a set of numbers that tell you how many consecutive filled cells appear in that line. For example, a clue of "3 2" means there is a group of 3 filled cells, at least one empty cell, then a group of 2 filled cells. By cross-referencing row and column clues, you can logically deduce which cells must be filled and which must be empty. Start with the largest clues and the most constrained rows or columns for the easiest deductions.
They are the same puzzle. "Picross" is Nintendo's branded name, while "Nonogram" is the generic term used internationally. Other names include Griddler, Paint by Numbers, and Hanjie. The gameplay and rules are identical regardless of the name.
Each number represents a consecutive group of filled cells. Multiple numbers in a clue mean multiple groups, each separated by at least one empty cell. The numbers always appear in order from left to right (for rows) or top to bottom (for columns).
This version includes multiple handcrafted puzzles across three difficulty levels: 5x5 (Easy), 10x10 (Medium), and 15x15 (Hard). You can solve as many as you like and try to beat your best times. Each puzzle reveals a unique pixel art image.
