Your salary goes furthest in countries with low cost-of-living indexes like Thailand, Colombia, India, and Portugal. A $50,000 USD salary has the purchasing power of over $150,000 in some of these countries.
It varies enormously. France mandates 36 days, Germany and Brazil 30, while the US and Japan only guarantee about 10. Mexico has the fewest at 6 mandatory days.
