What Is Laser Maze?

Laser Maze is a light-reflection puzzle game where you place mirrors, beam splitters, and color filters on a grid to redirect laser beams into all target cells. Each level presents a unique configuration challenge that tests your spatial reasoning and logical thinking.

Starting with simple single-mirror puzzles, the game gradually introduces new mechanics including beam splitters that create perpendicular paths, color filters that change beam wavelength, and targets that require specific colors to activate.

How It Works

A laser source emits a beam from the edge of the grid. Use the component tray to select mirrors (which reflect at 45°), beam splitters (which both pass and reflect), or color filters (which tint the beam). Click any empty cell to place the selected component. Right-click or tap a placed piece to rotate it. The beam path updates in real-time as you place and rotate components.

You earn 1–3 stars per level based on how efficiently you solve it — using fewer components means more stars. A hint system highlights one valid component position if you get stuck.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I rotate mirrors?
On desktop, right-click a placed mirror to rotate it 45°, or scroll over it. On mobile, tap a placed mirror once to rotate it. You can also press R on your keyboard while hovering over a piece.
What do beam splitters do?
Beam splitters divide a laser into two paths simultaneously — one beam passes straight through while a second is reflected perpendicular. This is key for hitting multiple targets from a single source.
Are there color-based puzzles?
Yes! From level 11 onward, color filters (red, green, blue) change the laser's color. Certain targets only activate when hit by a specific color, requiring you to route the beam through the correct filter first.
