What Is Geography Dash?

Geography Dash is a fast-paced speed geography quiz where you race against a 90-second timer to name as many countries as possible. Each round, you're shown a country's flag, a clue about its location, and must type the correct name before time runs out. Earn speed bonuses for ultra-fast answers and build streaks for consecutive correct guesses.

How It Works

A country flag and continent hint appear on screen. Type the country name and press Enter or tap Go. Answer within 3 seconds for a 2× speed bonus, within 5 seconds for a 1.5× bonus. Skip costs 5 seconds. Wrong answers flash red and show the correct name. Build streaks of 3, 5, or 10+ correct answers for bonus multipliers. After 90 seconds, see your full breakdown including accuracy, fastest answer, and worst continent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many countries are in the quiz?
Geography Dash includes all 195 UN-recognized countries. The World mode covers all nations, while Continental mode lets you focus on a single continent. Countries are sorted by familiarity — well-known nations appear first, then more obscure ones as the game progresses.
Does it accept alternate country names?
Yes! Geography Dash uses fuzzy matching and accepts common alternate names and spellings. For example, "Czech Republic" is accepted for Czechia, "Burma" for Myanmar, "Ivory Coast" for Côte d'Ivoire, and common abbreviations like "USA" or "UK". Accents are also optional.
Can I focus on one continent?
Yes! Use Continental Mode on the start screen to pick a specific continent: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, or Oceania. This is great for studying a region or warming up before attempting the full World mode.
