What Is Darts?

Darts is a precision throwing game where players aim at a circular board divided into numbered segments. Our free online version faithfully recreates the experience with realistic physics, accurate segment scoring, and strategic AI opponents.

How It Works

Choose between 501 (count down from 501, finishing on a double) or Cricket (close numbers 15 through 20 plus bullseye). Aim with your cursor or finger, hold to steady your throw, and release to let fly. The dartboard features the authentic segment layout used in professional competition.

Each turn consists of three darts. In 501, your score counts down and you must hit a double to check out. In Cricket, mark each number three times to close it, then score points on closed numbers your opponent has not closed.

The highest possible score with three darts is 180 (three triple-20s), achieved regularly by professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions

What game modes are available?

501 (count down to zero, finish on a double) and Cricket (close numbers 15-20 plus bullseye). Both modes include AI opponents at three difficulty levels.

How do I throw in the game?

Aim with your cursor or finger, then click and release (desktop) or swipe forward (mobile). The accuracy depends on your steadiness and release timing.

What is a double-out finish?

In 501, you must hit a double segment to reach exactly zero. For example, if you have 32 left, you need double-16. This makes the endgame strategic and exciting.
