Bowling Alley is a free browser-based 10-pin bowling simulation that captures the satisfying feeling of rolling a strike. Using a three-step control system — position, power, and spin — you aim your ball down a realistic lane, watch it curve toward the pins, and enjoy the crash of a well-placed shot. The game uses standard bowling scoring with strikes, spares, and bonus rolls in the 10th frame, so you can chase that elusive perfect 300.
In the third step of your throw, the spin indicator oscillates left and right. Tap when the indicator is away from center to apply more curve. A left-side lock curves the ball left-to-right, and right-side curves right-to-left. In real bowling, you create spin by rotating your wrist and fingers on release, hooking the ball into the pocket between the 1 and 3 pins (for right-handers) for the best strike angle.
A perfect bowling score is 300, achieved by rolling 12 consecutive strikes — one in each of the first 9 frames and three in the 10th frame. Each strike earns 10 pins plus the next two bonus rolls. With all strikes, that's 30 points per frame for 10 frames. Fewer than 1 in 11,500 sanctioned league games results in a perfect 300.
Bowling has 10 frames. In each frame you roll up to 2 balls to knock down 10 pins. A strike (all 10 on the first roll) scores 10 plus your next 2 rolls as a bonus. A spare (all remaining pins on the second roll) scores 10 plus your next 1 roll as a bonus. Otherwise you simply score the total pins knocked down. The 10th frame allows up to 3 rolls if you strike or spare, and the maximum possible score is 300.
